Covid-19 Update
We are happy to remain open and serving our community! Covid-19 is still a major health concern and as a responsible healthcare provider, we want to ensure that the health and safety of our clients, staff and clinicians is our top priority.
WHAT ARE WE DOING TO KEEP YOU SAFE?
- Respecting physical distancing guidelines
- Disinfecting surfaces and equipment
- Wearing masks
- Implementing handwashing and sanitizing procedures
- Screening clients and staff for symptoms of Covid-19
Please ensure you have completed and passed the screening before entering the clinic.
APPOINTMENT PROTOCOL FOR IN-PERSON VISITS
In accordance to the recommendations made by the Government of Ontario and our governing college(s), all in-person clients will be required to follow a series of screening, safety and sanitization protocols to ensure the well-being of our clients, staff and community.
Please review the following steps to be taken before, during and after each in-person appointment at Newcastle Physiotherapy and Sports Rehab.
We appreciate your cooperation in following these standards and ensuring the health and safety of all!
BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT
- Complete the ‘client screening questionnaire’. This will be emailed to clients the day before each appointment at the clinic. This form ensures you are an appropriate candidate for in-person care and comfortable with the risk associated with an in-person visit. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ENTER THE CLINIC without this form being completed. If you do not see the questionnaire in your inbox or junk folder, please contact the clinic.
- All clients are required to wear a mask upon entering the clinic. It can be a surgical or cloth mask. We do have masks available, however, we kindly ask that clients bring their own.
APPOINTMENT DAY
- Arrive as close to your appointment time as possible.
- Please wait in your vehicle until your appointment time and we will call you in or if you do not have a phone, staff will come and waive you into the building.
- We kindly ask that you come alone, unless you require someone to accompany you for mobility/safety reasons or you are a parent/guardian with a child.
- Leave all non-essential personal belongings ie. bags, jackets, water bottles at home or in your vehicle.
- On entering, please use the hand sanitizer to your right of the entrance. We ask that NO GLOVES be worn in the clinic.
- Please follow the signage and markings to adhere to social distancing of 6ft (2m) except when being treated by your therapist.
- You will be directed to your specified treatment room where you will wait for your therapist.
- We ask that the washrooms be used for emergencies only to aid in infection control
AFTER YOUR APPOINTMENT
- Proceed to the reception if necessary to schedule or make payment via tap. We do accept cash, however, prefer to minimize any contact.
- All receipts will be emailed or mailed to all clients.
EXITING
Please sanitize again upon leaving and dispose of paper mask if needed in garbage bin at the door.
